This delightful little book was first printed in a limited edition in 1894, describing Malcolm Ross's visit by boat and on foot to Fiordland and Milford Sound. His story begins at Preservation Inlet and ends at Te Anau. Beautifuly illustrated with watercolours by the acclaimed Robert Hawcridge, one of the leading artists of the day, the book has been digitally remastered and reprinted to preserve its Victorian layout and charm. Pages are interleaved with tissue paper as in the original ediiton. This edition is also handstitched and completed wtih 24K gold edging on the page edges to replicate a style rarely found in modern books.

The book is sold with a wrapping of tissue paper and bound with cord to create a classy  Victorian-era presentation for a classy book.

This edition makes a handsome gift or souvenir for anybody who has been entranced by the wonders of Fiordland and Milford Sound.
