This pair of small plastic vernier calipers is very handy in the bindery for taking measurements of boards and the final book assembled with covers. We use one for checking the thickness of pagesets when making up covers for the perfect binding on the books we publish. It's also used to measure the thickness of a pageset and the two boards when deciding the width of a spine for a hard cover.
Inexpensive but accurate.
