Add a unique touch to your bookbinding projects with printed endpapers in a variety of themes. Once you start looking for ideas on this the possibilities are endless, so we're open to suggestions if your project demands something we don't have here.
Endpapers are printed in pairs on 120gsm archival quality paper, 450 x 320mm in size, with a minimum image size of 430 x 305mm. This allows each pair of endpapers to be used on an A4 sized book, or for two A5 sized books. The grain runs across each sheet.
And don't restrict yourself to just endpapers - these pages are great for book covers, scrapbooking and many other craft projects.
Themes will include
Traditional Marbling. These images are scanned from publications in the 18th and 19th century, when marbling was a feature of endpapers and covers. As each traditional marbled sheet was unique, we have printed each pair with a slightly different orientation to create a sense of individuality. Often working from only one original image, the second image in each pair has been cropped to a different position, or flipped horizontally or vertically, sometimes both.
Marble. Inspired by the whole concept of marbling, which aimed to reproduce the random patterns of natural marble, here is a selection of images taken from real specimens.
Vintage flowers. Repeating patterns with a flower theme, most sourced from the Birmingham Museum's collection of 19th century texts.
Victorian. These beautiful images are perfect for journals and gift books.
Woodgrain. The warmth of natural woodgrain provides endpapers that can fit all sorts of book projects about natural history, DIY, craft or the great outdoors.
Abstract. Find something here to fire your imagination. This is the weird and wacky set.
