This restored vintage book press is ready for use. The top platen on this model is 297 x 248mm, and the daylight gap is 80mm.
This is a wonderful addition to a bindery for its convenience in pressing newly bound or restored books flat. You'll also find other uses as well - these presses are great for making padded notebooks, making firm creases in folded pagesets and making thick book boards.
We have removed all the grease from the screw thread and used silicone as the lubricant for the thread.
Made of cast iron and repainted in black and gold, this press is very heavy and over the normal limit for courier deliveries. We can negotiate freight costs and delivery options upon purchase. Delivery to West Coast centres and some South Island locations may be made easily but long haul destinations in the South and inter-island locations will require delivery by courier or a freight company. Unfortunately we cannot offer the free delivery option at checkout, so simply process the order and we will refund your freight costs.
