If you're sewing together signatures to make your book, this hand made sewing frame will help you do the job well.
The cantilevered design keeps the sewing area free from clutter while you position and sew the signatures around the tapes or threads suspended from the top beam.
Tapes can be held by standard office clips. Six are provided with the sewing frame, Three for the top beam. and three for the bottom. If tapes or threads are arranged under the bottom beam correctly, they should be locked in place when the beam is screwed down.
To save on freight, the frame is transported flat; it can be easily assembled by the user by driving in six screws (supplied).
At this stage we are offering two models - one in rimu and the other in pinus radiata. Both are suitable for books up to A4 size.
The frame has a base of 408 x 228mm.
The top beam is at least 217mm above the base board.
